PLAYER EXPERIENCE GOALS
Art
What is the theme of my game? Am I using every means possible to reinforce this? PEG The player is able to identify the narrative theme of my game and understand the overall message. The player has a sense of being and exploring underwater, feeling like a sea lion. |
Design
Does my game have clear goals? If not how can I fix that? What pleasures are missing from my game's experience? Why? Can they be added? PEG The player identifies they need to collect all the fish to survive and win and to avoid the harmful garbage. Players will feel rewarded and motivated to continue after successfully collecting a fish. |
Game play
What are the basic actions in my game? PEG Controlling the seal feels natural and slightly challenging to master. Collecting items feels rewarding. Punishments for colliding with harmful objects feels deserved. |

Your game has really come far! Aesthetics wise, its definitely developing the vibe I think your going for - you really do feel like you are underwater, and the subtle animations add a lot. I think trying to implement some way of explaining the controls when the game opens up would be a bit helpful, because I died a few times before realizing I could look up the controls from the pause menu. The world also feels a bit empty, but I imagine that's going to change in the future. I'm excited to see where this goes!
