Concept Art 2

I have finished the concept art stages of this project. After exploring different shapes and color ideas for my main character I settled on simplistic silhouette with minimal details and violet shade. The sea lion character will have minimal animation and expression and be seen mostly from the back. 

For environment and props I explored a variation of aquatic plants and corals, as well as a wide array of different objects to represent pollution. I focused on a vibrant color palette for the aquatic plant and aimed to have duller color choices for the pollution. Many of the objects have begun to rot away from years spent in the ocean. The blue fish seen on the far right represents the pain collectible item that players will pick up in game in order to progress.

I created an orthographic view of the game play map to show how players will progress through the game, starting in a lush, fish plentiful area with lots of healthy sea life, then slowly progressing to a darker, more pollution filled area with less fish and more deadly objects. The black and white render represents what the players view will look like while playing the game.

Finally, I included a rough block out of my main character model to get an idea of the shapes in a 3D space.
